Analytics Salary Guide

Analytics recruitment has been growing significantly over the last few years with exponential growth coming in the last 18 months.  The world seems to have gone data mad which has created a demand from small SME’s to large corporates for a range of different types of candidates.  Abacus would like to showcase a bespoke Analytics Salary Guide, do you know your market worth?

The most common job titles we would see would be Data Analyst but what one company thinks is a data Analyst can massively differ from the next.  The extent to which certain companies are working with their data is very different, some are just buying into big data while others have MI, BI and predictive modellers working with their data.

The in demand technologies are SAS, SQL, VBA, R, Hadoop, Cognos, Business Objects, Qlikview and to a lesser extent SPSS, MATLAB and Excel.  Expect these in demand technologies to change on a reasonably regular basis as this is a new area and advancements in the field are coming thick and fast.

At entry level the demand for candidates is certainly around the stem degree’s and specifically subjects like Computer Science and Maths.  Candidates across this space are getting inflated salaries as it’s an area that is in high demand.  With the numbers studying STEM degrees at our universities increasing demand will fall but not for a number of years.
