Profile
- Producing drawings of residential and commercial buildings for planning and building control applications
- Division of work 35% commercial and 65% residential projects.
- Working drawings for builders using Autocad 2002 and Architectural Desktop 3.3
- Measurement surveys of sites and existing buildings, drawing correlating plans, elevations, sections and construction details
- Liaise directly with clients, contractors and local authorities, working closely with them to produce design and working drawings
- Attending site and office meetings, that seek to resolve any issues that may arise during a project
- Some structural calculations
- Designing concrete hollowcore flooring and P.C concrete stairs using Floorcad and CSC’s Tedd’s
- Producing working AutoCAD drawings of above
- Interacting with clients, architects and engineers on a daily basis
- Interacting with other members of staff
- Creating and modifying 2D and 3D AutoCAD and Architectural
- Desktop 3.3 drawings, this included site surveys and drawing detailed plans of the various buildings owned by the trust
- Detailing M&E drawings
- Mapping out the ducting layout of sites on a number of occasions
Qualifications
- BSc(Hons) Construction Engineering and Management (Completion January 2008 - expected garde 2:1)
- HND Mechanical Engineering with Certificate in Industrial Studies 2003
- 2 A Levels & 9 GCSEs including Maths and English
Background
John is a well experienced candidate that has accumulated wide-ranging experience over the last 7 years in the fields of engineering ( 5 years) and for the most recent two and a half years working in a responsbile role within an architectural firm. Academic achievement has been a strong feature of this candidates career to date and he is due to complete his Construction Engineering and Management degree in January 2008. This candidate is keen to secure a site-based position with a progressive firm assisting the Site Manager in effective co-ordination of projects within time and cost budgets. John offers a strong blend of technicial expertise, communication skills and hands-on experience which will be advantageous to any future employer.
