Java and C++ may have slipped in the ranking but the demand is higher than ever in NI market
Many of you In the IT world may have read up last month that Java and C++ have slipped in popularity in the TIOBE ranking as domain specific languages begin to dominate. They reached the lowest ranking since the start of the list in 2001.
As many theorists have discussed the market is more fragmented than ever with new languages emerging, here at Abacus we started to look at the current NI market and the demand we are seeing month on month for roles coming through the door. Over 60% of our IT roles require C, C++ and embedded C as well as Java experience.
The biggest issue facing the Ni market is finding top candidates for a massively expanding marketplace, with huge American companies choosing NI as their newest base.
