The role of Digital Marketing Executive will report to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and will be responsible for the management and implementation of organisations social media, eMarketing and digital content strategy. This will include the management and creation of website content, webinars and various digital marketing campaigns to support the wider sales and marketing needs.  This requires a broad overview of digital marketing as a fundamental part of the marketing mix, and the use of digital media as a tool in sales promotion. The role will require excellent interpersonal and social skills, oral and written presentation skills, a flair for creative design, the ability to work to tight deadlines, as well as the ability to relate to a wide variety of people with different interests and needs.

Responsibilities 

Assist in the development and implementation of monthly content calendars for organisations suite of social media channels

The postholder will be responsible for the management, monitoring and performance of these social media channels and will be expected to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments across the social media landscape.

Develop and implement regular e-mail marketing campaigns using emarketing software to support the key business goals. This will also require regular campaign analysis and reporting against KPIs.

Interpreting data and providing ongoing digital analytical reports using various insight tools

Work in conjunction with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to support our year-round events calendar across all regions.

Maintain the organisations website by assisting the Senior Digital Marketing Manager in regularly updating content using the company’s CMS and implementing the digital content marketing strategy.

Provide ongoing support to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to manage and deliver webinar activity across all regions.

Work in collaboration with the wider marketing team to implement and deliver digital marketing campaigns on time and on budget.

Assist with the development and implementation of quarterly content and digital marketing plans.

Provide regular analysis and measurement on the return on investment for various digital marketing activities across the year, providing reports for the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and department heads as required.

Monitor competitor activity online, especially across social media channels, providing regular reports to the marketing team.

Perform research into the materials wet processing industry and analyse data on customers and market segments that would assist in the development of our global sectoral brand plans.

Other ad hoc requests as required by the business.

Essential Criteria

Graduated to degree level in Business, Marketing or English or relevant discipline.

3+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Experience of working with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience of creating content for, and managing social media channels

Experience using Canva or other similar graphic design software.

Experience of creating, implementing and reporting on e-mail marketing campaigns

Experience working with a website CMS to update website content.

Experience working with a CRM system to update customer and prospect information.

Experience working with data and analytical software like Google Analytics to create reports.

Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise & control daily workload.

Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills

A track record of identifying and successfully implementing process changes.

The ability to work with and influence colleagues in multiple departments.

Attentive to detail

Must be capable of working accurately and diligently to agreed time scales to meet key project deadlines.

Enthusiastic, energetic self-starter able to work on own initiative.

Willingness to develop and adapt to new situations.

Ability to think around a problem to develop solutions and using initiative to get desired results.

Desirable Criteria:

Have a digital marketing qualification or working towards a digital marketing qualification through a body like the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or the Digital Marketing Institute.

Experience with digital advertising systems including Google Ads, Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Facebook Ads.

An understanding of core digital marketing principles including SEO, content marketing, link building, email marketing, digital PR and PPC & display advertising.

Experience using digital marketing tools including like SEMRush or Ahrefs

Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite and using video editing software like Premiere Pro, CapCut or InShot.

Experience working with webinar software like BigMarker, Zoom or Go To Webinar.
