Abacus Temporary Business Services team have been selected to support with the recruitment of an experienced payroll administrator to join their team on a temporary contract 3-6 month full time hours. Our client operates on a global market and has an exceptional reception for their quality pharmaceutical products.

The Role

As the payroll administrator you will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties within the payroll department of the organisation.

You will be required to undertake the following duties:

  • Updating employee time and attendance records onto in-house system
  • Daily processing of employees attendance records and hours worked
  • Review of payroll files ensuring all information entered is accurate before submitting for final approval
  • Creation and updating of employee payroll information on banking system
  • Liaising with HR department on payroll matters
  • Managing internal employee payroll queries
  • Other administrative duties as required from the department

Specifications

  • Applicants must be educated to GCSE level with grade (A – C) in Maths and English or equivalent
  • 2 years previous experience of working in a busy payroll/HR/ finance department
  • Previous experience in MS office applications including Word and Excel Desirable Criteria
  • Previous experience on Payroll Systems (e.g. Sage)
  • Experience interacting internal departments to resolve payroll queries
  • Experience of working with all aspects of payroll procedures

Desirable

  • CIPP or equivalent
