The successful candidate will assume management of all resourcing activity within the Belfast team, working to achieve business performance goals whilst balancing client requirements, individual career aspirations and utilisation targets within the teams.
As well as being responsible for traditional resourcing activities, the successful candidate will also be required to build up a resourcing team over time and expand the scope of their responsibilities to include detailed forecasting, business case and bid support from an activity and resource modelling perspective, continuous improvement, building and maintenance of skills matrices and identification of cross service line working opportunities.

Your key responsibilities
  • Proactive liaison with Service Line (SL) partners, directors and managers to understand client requirements and the wider needs of the business, to facilitate effective resourcing decisions.
  • Assess and plan future resource requirements based on forecasts and wider needs of the business.
  • Deal with escalated resourcing issues and make decisions on conflicting demands, liaising with other members of the Resourcing team as required.
  • Understand project pipeline and reflect accurately on Retain for forecasting purposes.
  • Attend regular resourcing meetings with representatives from the business
  • Acquire knowledge of individual skills, development needs, experiences and personal/professional aspirations and apply this knowledge in resourcing decisions
  • Attend and provide management support to the Resource management meetings
  • Monitor chargeable hours figures by individual / grade / office / cluster and highlight potential shortfalls / over-utilisation to senior management
  • Oversee analysis of business forecasting e.g. chargeable hours, utilisation and headcount against budget and driving actions and behaviours accordingly
  • Provide commentary on projected pipeline, utilisation, non-chargeable activities and availability levels
  • Support the performance and counselling process within the business, including management of high and low performers
  • Involvement with SL Leaders around strategic business goals and other business specific matters
  • Delegate and coach members of the Resourcing team and provide guidance and support as required on day to day activities
Requirements:
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, and to communicate competing demands effectively
  • Numerate and with a strong commercial focus
  • Organised with good time management skills
  • Confident and resilient to deal with challenges from people within the business
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to consult with a wide range of people at different levels
  • Proactive communicator and willing to share information
  • Ideally has experience of working in a professional services environment
  • Proven experience within management roles within an operational, HR or resourcing/recruitment background
  • The ideal candidate should have substantial resource management experience.
  • Professional or business support services experience
  • Activity and Resource modelling expertise
  • Experience supporting business case development
