The Role

As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for managing a wide range of e-learning content projects, ensuring good communication between all team members and that projects are delivered on time, to budget and of a good quality. You’ll need to be confident working with clients and supporting Learning Designers, Graphics Designers and Developers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced professional with a track-record in providing a first class customer experience of successful project delivery. Experience in learning and development and specifically learning technologies are essential for this role. You will be able to manage complex e-learning projects with multiple stakeholders and large project teams.

The successful candidate will be confident in their communication skills, proud of their attention to detail and enthusiastic about working with our creative team. You will be highly motivated and able to work on your own as well as part of a team. Occasional travel will be required to meet with customers and to attend team meetings.

Responsibilities:

Overseeing the development of multiple e-learning projects, including:

  • Setting and managing client expectations within agreed parameters
  • Creating and monitoring project plans, adhering to deadlines
  • Briefing and supporting project team members- at the start of the project and on specific tasks throughout
  • Overseeing the scope and quality of project documentation
  • Leading meetings with clients and stakeholders
  • Monitoring project budgets and reporting overspend to account managers
  • Day to day communication with clients
  • Working with the production team to define a structure for the quality assurance process and ensuring projects meet the required quality standards
  • Releasing deliverables, controlling/monitoring client feedback and maintaining version control
  • Reporting to the Head of Content, including escalating project/resourcing issues and suggesting improvements to processes, when needed
  • Reporting on customer feedback and suggesting improvements to appropriate teams (sales, production etc.)
  • Managing own workload and prioritising resource according to project timelines
  • Calculating and scheduling short and long-term resource and managing own resourcing conflicts
  • Work with Head of Content to constantly improve our business processes based on customer feedback and end of project reviews
  • Work with other content team leads to put together best fit project teams and ensure resource is used to best meet whole team requirements
  • Writing targeted project management approaches for pre-sales proposals
  • Working closely with the sales team to ensure we are going for the right pre-sales opportunities and that the responses are well managed and thought through
  • Facilitating the smooth handover of projects from sales to production
  • Presenting, as part of a team, our proposed solutions to potential customers
  • Building strong on-going relationships with customers

  • Knowledge and experience of project management techniques
  • Organised and efficient
  • Good prioritisation skills
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Knowledge of e-learning development process
  • Experience of working with Developers, Graphic Designers and Instructional Designers/Copy writers
  • First class listening and questioning skills to enable effective consultation with customers and briefing of production team members
  • Understanding of learning technologies
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office Product Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (online, telephone and face to face)
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Ability to work independently and to use own initiative
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to travel including occasional overnight stays
  • An open, friendly demeanour with a positive attitude
