Stress Interviews

Stress Interviews:

This style of interview was once considered as a great way to detect how a candidate would respond to stressful situations. However, as hiring processes have evolved and become more practical over the years, stress interviews have become a rarity.

The main components of stress interviews are for the interviewer to ask repeated questions and for them not to give the candidate sufficient time to give an answer, whilst also interrupting the candidate while they are trying to respond.

Key Features

For companies, this allowed them to identify candidates that could cope well under stressful conditions or with stressful tasks. However, this interview style does not suit all jobs. The companies using this style would run a risk of losing out on potential candidates. Due to them not being capable of responding to a mock stress situation. For the candidate, this style can be highly intimidating leading it to be difficult to exhibit their skills and talent.
